Second Generation Delphi 48-Volt Mild Hybrid
Delphi will unveil its second generation 48-volt mild hybrid at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. This gas-powered Volkswagen Passat follows a diesel-powered Honda Civic, first shown in May. Both cars use a small lithium-ion battery to capture energy typically lost while braking, improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions for significantly less cost than a full hybrid.
